- To delete from the Edit Person modal, click on the Contacts icon in the navigation bar and select View/Edit from the kebab menu on the right-hand side of the Contact card you would like to delete.
- Click the trashcan in the lower left to delete the Contact from your CARET Legal Account.
Or,
- You can select Delete directly from the kebab menu of the Contact card.
*Note: If a contact is listed as a Primary Client in a Matter, you will not be able to delete them. Primary Client is a required field, so you will need to go to any matters where that is the primary client and reassign the matter to a different Contact.
This will also be the case if they are a Primary Client in a deleted Matter. Because matters can be recovered after deletion, the data for that Contact is still tied to the deleted matter. You will need to restore the matter/s and change the Client there before redeleting the matter.
