How do I add contact types?

Contact Types are used as a way to assign a label to your Contacts, which can then be used for searching, filtering and permissioning.

You can add contact types from the New Person modal, or by editing an existing contact in the Edit Person modal.

  1. Navigate to the Contacts section and select View/Edit from the kebab menu of a Contact card to display the Edit Person modal.

  2. To display the New Person modal click + in the action bar or select an option under Contacts in the Quick Add menu.



  3. Select an existing type from the drop-down list in the Contact Type field, or add a new type by clicking the + to the right of the field. 
 
​Contact types can be made into a required field. This forces users to fill in the Type field in in order to save the Contact details. This would be turned on in the Firm Settings.
