When transitioning to CARET Legal, our Onboarding Team offers an advanced migration option to help you bring over historical billed entries from your previous system.
What’s Included?
We migrate:
- ⏱️ Time Entries
- 💸 Expenses
These are entries that were already billed in your previous system.
Expenses will be brought over as Soft Costs.
How Are They Displayed?
Once imported, these entries will appear with a "Historical" status and are:
- ✅ Read-Only – You can view them, but not edit.
- 🔍 Searchable – Easily find them for reference purposes.
- 🚫 Not Linked to Invoices – They won’t be tied to any invoice line items in CARET Legal.
Why do I Want This?
- This feature is ideal for firms that want to retain visibility into past billing activity.
- It helps ensure accurate financial tracking after migration.
