After registering your email with CARET Legal, your Dashboard will prompt you to map your email folders.
To map your email folders:
- Select My Settings from the drop-down list beside your avatar to display the User Settings modal.
- Click Email Setup from the menu bar on the left.
Ensure your Inbox is linked to the dropdown menu option for "Inbox," Sent to "Sent Items," etc. so that CARET Legal knows where to put your emails. CARET Legal's default email folders are Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Trash, Spam and Archive.
NOTE: Mapped folders should not be repeated to avoid issues.
- Click Save when folders are mapped.

Language may vary based on email provider. Some providers may label "Trash" as "Deleted Items" and "Spam" as "Junk Mail".
NOTE: Do not map to a folder that has already been used.
Note: Emails cannot be permanently deleted from CARET Legal. When you delete an email, it moves it to the "Trash" or "Deleted Items" folder. They are then available to be recovered until they are removed by your provider. If you wish to permanently delete an email this must be done in your provider's interface.
