How Calendar Search Works

  • Updated

Calendar Search lets you find events across your firm's calendars and various users. This article explains which events the search includes and how to narrow your results.

What Calendar Search Includes

By default, Calendar Search looks through events for all active users in your firm. You don't need to open or view a user's calendar for their events to appear in your results.

Narrowing Your Search by Event Owner

To search only certain users' events, enter one or more users in the Event Owner field.

  • Event Owner left blank: The search includes events for all active users.
  • Event Owner filled in: The search includes only events owned by the users you entered.

Calendar Search vs. the Calendar View

Calendar Search is separate from the calendar shown in the right-hand pane. Whose calendar you are viewing does not affect your search results.

For example, if you're viewing only your own calendar and run a search with the Event Owner field left blank, the results still include events for all active users.

Tips

  • To find events for one person, enter that person in the Event Owner field instead of switching the calendar view.
  • If you are seeing more results than you expected, check whether the Event Owner field is blank.
  • If you are missing results you expected, check whether the Event Owner field still has users from an earlier search.
