How do I make a Transfer between Bank Accounts?

Trust to Trust

  1. Write a Trust Check to pull money out of the first account, then create a New Retainer to put money into the second account

Trust to Operating

  1. If this is money that is earned, apply the retainer/trust money to an invoice.
  2. If this is not money that is earned, write a Trust Check to pull money out of the first account then do a New Retainer to put money into the second account

Operating to Trust

  1. Write a Check(Hard Cost) to pull money out of the first account then create a New Retainer to put money into the second account

Operating to Operating

  1. Navigate to the Accounting section, then click on the Banks & Registers tab.
  2.  
  3. Click + on the green action bar and select Transfer Between Accounts from the menu.

  4. The Transfer Between Accounts modal displays.

    • Add all transfer details:
      • The Date defaults to Today's date.
      • Enter an Amount.
      • Select a Source Account and a Destination Account.
      • Add a Note if you wish.
  5. Click Transfer.

    • A prompt displays informing you that the Bank transfer was successful.
