How can I set up my Bank Accounts within CARET Legal?

To view all Bank (Trust or Operating) and Credit Card Accounts in CARET Legal:

  1. Click on the Accounting icon in the navigation bar to access the Accounting module, then select the Banks & Registers tab.

  2. Under the tab bar, click View Bank Accounts & Credit Card Accounts. All Bank Accounts and Credit Card Accounts associated with your firm are listed.


  3. Click + on the action bar to add a new Bank/Credit Card Account and select the appropriate option from the drop-down list.


  4. The New Bank Account or New Credit Card modal displays.

    Complete the required fields indicated with a purple bar:
    • Enter an Account Name and Bank Name, then enter or select a Bank Account Type from the drop-down list.
    • Optionally enter the Bank Address and Last 4 Digits of Account Number.
    • Select the ACTIVE checkbox to enable.
    • Once the Bank Account has been created you can click Connect to a bank to link it with your provider!

  5. Click Save to add a new account.
