How do I set up Two-Factor Authentication?

For an added layer of security on your CARET Legal account, enable two-factor authentication when logging in.

From My Settings

Select My Settings from the drop-down menu beside your avatar to display the User Settings modal.
Click Enable 2 Factor Authentication under the Change Password link.
You are presented with two options:
- Option 1 - Download the Google Authenticator App or Microsoft Authenticator App and scan the provided code on your mobile device.
- Option 2 - Copy and Paste the code into your browser.
Click Enable to display the following prompt.

- Clicking Yes will require 2 Factor Authentication when logging into your CARET Legal Account.

Admins have the ability to disable a user's 2FA status on their behalf from Firm Settings > Users & Groups.

Admins may also enable 2FA if they have access to the user's device that will be used for authentication.
