  • Updated
You can use the Search Bar at the top of the screen as a search tool or as a conflict check to see if you have previously worked with a firm member on a Matter.

To utilize the Universal Search tool:
  1. Click on the magnifying glass in the top right menu bar of your CARET Legal Account to display a text field.

  2. Enter a keyword or phrase into the field to perform a complete search for entries that match throughout all of the data that you have stored in CARET Legal. For example, enter "John" in the text box yields suggestions for all Matters and Contacts associated with that term.

  3. Another example, if you type John and hit enter, a complete report of John's associations and activities displays.

  4. Click Print Search Result to export the conflict check to a PDF:

  5. To perform a complete search throughout all of the data stored within a section, enter a keyword or phrase in the search bar located underneath the tab bar on the right hand side of your screen. For example, enter "prepare" in the search bar under the Tasks section.
