What Is a CRM?

CRM is a Customer-Relationship Management system that helps you manage referrals from intake forms, as well as other Leads.

00:04: This video will explore, what is a CRM, and how you can

00:08: leverage this carrot legal feature to track leads and

00:17: current legal, the CRM or client relationship manager

00:22: can be found using the dedicated icon on the navigation

00:26: pane Once in the CRM area,

00:30: you will see a metrics dashboard at the top of the page.

00:35: First, you will see a lead pipeline.

00:39: This funnel represents each of the stages between initial contact

00:43: and the firm sending and receiving a retainer.

00:57: will help you. Make sure the firm knows what kind of matters or on the horizon

02:25: printer icon and Microsoft Excel icon for

02:29: reporting on your leads. The plus sign

02:33: icon will bring up the new lead pop-up window.

02:39: Under the purple Banner, you will see filters by status.

02:44: The default view is to Showcase all active leads.

02:50: On the right, you will see a search bar with advanced search options.

02:56: This looks at just leads within the CRM.

03:01: The life table is.

03:03: Casing real-time data about your leads.

03:06: You can favorite and prioritize a lead using the star.

03:12: Clicking on the lead, name will bring you to the lead page an

03:17: additional lead related information as details.

03:22: The other columns will showcase data points like status, if

03:26: a conflict check was performed. Estimated lead value.

03:41: Will open a pop-out menu offering additional actions such

03:46: as sending an email to the lead for follow-ups.

03:50: Converting the lead to a client and matter.

03:54: Setting the lead as junk or setting the lead as lost.

04:00: In setting the lead as lost, you will be asked.

04:03: To provide a reason, the lead was lost.

04:07: Last you will be offered the option to delete a lead.

04:10: If you delete a lead, This Record is not recoverable and should only

04:15: be used if you have a duplicate lead or truly intend to remove the

04:19: lead record from your database.

04:23: Now, let's look at managing your lead.

04:26: In creating a lead, you will be asked for some information to get started.

04:31: These required fields are remarked with the purple sliver on the left of

04:35: the field. These required Fields include first

04:40: and last name for a person, contact or company name for

04:44: a company contact. Also required.

04:49: Is any quoted billing? If you do not enter quoted

04:53: billing information, that system will default to an iron-based,

04:57: only building, arrangement Once the lead

05:02: is saved.

05:03: It will be brought back to your list of leads.

05:06: Looking on the lead name will bring you to the respective lead Details

05:11: page. On the top left, you will see basically

05:15: data. On the right, you will see any custom

05:25: Beneath this, your lead will be broken out by record type.

05:29: These tabs include an overview tab.

05:33: Contacts vents. Tasks notes.

05:50: area. You could also create these records from

05:55: other locations and connect them using the matter lead field.

06:00: All Leads will start with a prefix.

06:11: When you convert a lead to a matter, any records, such as custom

06:15: field data, contact cards, Communications and documents

06:20: that were connected to, that lead will be brought forward into your new

06:32: completing your conversion, you will be asked for three things.
