When an event is designated as a “private event”, your colleagues are able to see that you have an appointment, but they cannot view the corresponding details.
After designating a "private event" you also have the option to select an appointment mode of Busy, Available or Out of Office. This helps your support staff understand your availability and schedule your time accordingly.
Note: Your colleagues will not be able to make edits to a "private event" on your Calendar.
When creating a new event, click on the man in a hat and cloak icon that displays to the right of the Subject field and select an option from the drop-down list to change the event's privacy status.
