Quick Start (60 min)

All Users - A Day in the life of CARET Legal.
  • Topics include navigation and toolbars, email, calendar, tasks, CRM overview, matters/matters details, introduction to documents, and time and expense entry.

Billing (60 min)

Billing personnel
  • Reviewing billable activity (time/flat fee/expenses), generating invoices and applying for payments, sending invoices to clients, and trust management.

Accounting (60 min)

Administrators/Accounting personnel
  • Entering opening balances, writing Checks, managing Vendor Bills, using Banks and Registers, and reviewing Accounting Reports.

Document Automation (60 min)

All Users- A focused look at how to use document automation.
  • This session covers Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat. We also show you how to use CARET Legal’s Intake Forms to streamline the collection of data used to automate document creation. Please bring a document that you would like to save as a template.

Advanced Automation (60 min)

All Users- A focused look at how to use document automation. Requires a HotDocs instance.

  • This session covers how to leverage CARET Legal's Document Management System with advanced features like Document Templates and Intake Forms. We also show you how to use HotDocs in CARET Legal to streamline the collection of data and document assembly. Please bring a document that you would like to save as a template.
 

General Q&A (60 min)

All Users - This 60-minute open forum call addresses the Firm's various questions and concerns.
  • Please bring a list of questions to the call or provide a list of questions to your Onboarding Specialist in advance to ensure we are addressing your questions/concerns as efficiently as possible.

Billing/ Accounting Q&A (60 min)

All Users- This is a 60-minute open forum call to address the Firm's various questions and concerns.

  • Please bring a list of questions to the call or provide a list of questions to your Onboarding Specialist before the call to make sure we are addressing your questions/concerns as efficiently as possible.

First Billing Cycle (60 min)

Billing personnel- Complete your first billing cycle with the help of a trainer.  Time and expenses should be reviewed and ready for billing before this call.

  • Client shares their screen as we walk through generating your first set of prebills/ draft invoices.
  • After generating your prebills we will review editing, deleting, and approving invoices as well as revisit how to send the invoices out to the firm's clients.  

CARET Legal Analytics (60 min)
You will need an Enterprise Advanced & Enterprise Insights subscription.

Meet with one of our Training Specialists to learn more on CARET Analytics, an embedded business intelligence solution, in CARET Legal. During the training you will learn:

  • How to Access this features
  • How to navigate dashboards
  • How to schedule reports
  • How to create and manage a card on your dashboard

Caret Legal - CRM - New Client/ Matter Intake (60 min)

All Users- A focused look at best practices to maximize CARET Legal’s CRM feature
  • This session is tailored to show you that you can track and manage leads. 

APX/ CARET Payments Q&A (60 min)

*Requires an active/approved CARET Payments account

  • This session introduces the learner to CARET Payments within CARET Legal. During this session, participants will join the Trainer to set up & configure CARET Payments. We will also discuss payment workflow options and answer any questions directly related to CARET Payments and payment processing. 

  • Additional topics related to payment processing will also be covered, based on user workflow needs. These topics may include invoice creation, additional payment options, and general billing features.
