This guide explains how to use the AI features available in CARET Analytics. These tools allow
you to quickly ask questions about your firm's data and automatically generate dashboards.
Using AI Chat for Fast Answers
AI Chat allows you to explore your firm's data using natural language. This feature performs particularly well when you need a fast and specific answer regarding your data.
Where to find it
AI Chat appears in the left navigation of Analytics alongside the Dashboards section.
- Open CARET Analytics.
- Under the Dashboard navigation on the left side, click “AI Chat”.
- Type a question related to any of the data that you see in your dashboard. The chat’s context is focused on the dashboard that you are currently viewing.
- Review the answer and visualizations generated by AI.
- Continue asking follow-up questions to explore additional insights.
- If you need to ask about data in another dashboard, you must first change dashboards using the left navigation.
Using the AI Content Builder Agent
The AI Content Builder can automatically generate cards and dashboards and insights from your firm's datasets. By selecting one dataset, you will receive 20-30 visualizations that you can choose from in creating your next dashboard.
Where to find it
Step 1: Navigate to your datasets
- Open Analytics.
- Under the Dashboard navigation on the left side, click “Data”.
- Within the Data sub navigation, select “Datasets”.
- Choose the dataset you want to analyze.
Step 2: Launch the AI Content Builder
- Within the dataset details, choose the “Create App” tile to launch the AI Content Builder.
- Click “Get Started.”
- Wait for the process to finish. Note, it may take 1-2 minutes to complete.
Step 3: Select the charts you want to include in your dashboard
- The AI Content Builder will automatically generate multiple charts and insights.
- By default, all charts will be automatically included in your final dashboard.
- You can choose which ones you’d like to exclude appear in your final dashboard by clicking the “Deselect” button.
- Once finalized, save the selected charts as a new dashboard.
Tips for Best Results
- Ask clear questions when using AI Chat.
- Explore different datasets using the Content Builder. You can combine the results from multiple content builder runs/dataset into new dashboards that contain charts from multiple areas of your business.
- Customize dashboards so they reflect the metrics most important to your firm.
