Universal Search is not going anywhere. Both Universal Search and the new enhanced Conflict Check feature will be available to everyone.

Document names can be searched, but the content of documents cannot. (Document contents are also not currently searchable in Universal Search).Â

I just ran a search and there are no results. Can I print a report?Â
We do not currently offer the ability to generate a report indicating there are no results.Â

Matter Custom Fields are included, Contact Custom Fields are not included at this time.

It may take a few minutes for the data to sync to the Conflict Check search. If you observe a substantial lag, please contact us.

Does the new Conflict Check search take into account your CRM?Â
Yes, the leads will come back under a different label, but they are included in the Conflict Check search. When you are searching matters, you are searching leads and matters.

Are we tracking Conflict Checks in the activity log?Â
Not currently. Please note, this is also not currently tracked in Universal Search.

Does the Conflict Check search automatically save to the matter record?Â
No, the results of the search do not currently save to the matter record. You would need to download the report to PDF and then save to the matter record manually. This report includes the date and time of the search, the name of the individual who conducted the search, the search terms, and the areas of the application where the search was performed.

How are the record types sorted in the search result?Â
The results appear in the order of the closest match.

Are the results of the search sortable in the grid?Â
No, the results are not currently sortable in the grid. An option at this time to sort is to download the CSV and sort the results from that file.

Can the Conflict Check feature search middle names?Â
Yes, the Enhanced Conflict Check feature can search middle names. You can do this by searching a name without quotations. For example, you would search Peter Parker instead of "Peter Parker," and the search would also return results with any applicable middle names.

Are there any firm settings updates for Conflict Check?Â
Yes, there is one update to firm settings for Conflict Check, which can be found by going to Matters & Contacts in Firm Settings and selecting Conflict Check Settings:
Under Conflict Check settings, the user can select whether they would like to display their private tasks and appointments in the Conflict Check search results.
