How do My Clients register their Caseway Account?

Caseway, is CARET Legal's secure client portal which allows you to share Invoices and Documents with your Clients.
Clients must be invited before they can log into Caseway.

Document Sharing

To initiate Document or Invoice sharing with Caseway:

  1. Navigate to the Documents section, then hover over the date column and select Share via Portal from the More Actions menu that displays.


  2. Navigate to the Accounting section, then select Share via Portal from the kebab  More.png menu on the far right of an approved Invoice under the Invoices & Payments tab.

  3. Either the Share Document via Portal or the Share Invoice modal displays.



  4. Enter the Contact(s) you would like to share the Document or Invoice with, then click Next.

    • Enter a Phone No. and Email in the required fields and click Share.

  5. The Contact(s) will receive an email with a link to register their account, as well as an SMS text message with a unique activation security code needed in order to complete the registration.

  6. When they click Register Account in the email, they will be redirected to where they can enter the Activation Code they received in the SMS text message and click Activate.

  7. Afterwards, another screen appears asking them to create a Username and Password.

  8. After they click Register they can access at any time.
