FIrm Settings: Updating Firm Locations and Settings

00:06: It covers managing firm details, adding new locations, and utilizing location-based

00:11: reporting features.

00:19: On this session, we will discuss how to access Firm Settings and then update your

00:23: locations for your firm in CARET Legal.

00:26: To begin, we will select the user icon on the top far right hand side of your

00:30: screen.

00:34: Then we will go to Firm Settings.

00:37: Remember, firm settings is only available for office manager role or the

00:42: administrator role in CARET Legal.

00:50: Upon selecting firm settings, CARET Legal will open the menu for firm settings under

00:54: firm options and then office locations.

01:00: That is the office location and overview that we are looking at on the right-hand side.

01:04: side.

01:05: To begin,

01:06: you can update your firm name as well as your firm's main time zone.

01:13: Individual users can set their own time zone, but the firm has a primary time zone.

01:21: You can update or browse for your logo that your firm has.

01:27: Then, upon making those changes, click Save.

01:31: You'll get a green pop-up letting you know that it's been saved.

01:35: And then we can review the office locations here at the bottom.

01:38: To begin, the first office location you'll see is the office location that was set

01:42: up either

01:45: by CARET Legal's onboarding team or

01:49: by your system administrator during

01:52: setup for the initial wizard or setup wizard.

01:59: To make updates to the existing office locations, simply click the edit pencil and

02:04: add in your phone number.

02:07: Update the office name, as well as update the address.

02:15: You can also add additional locations.

02:20: Locations are really great for being able to pull reporting, even financial

02:24: reporting

02:24: such as P&L, by your different office locations.

02:28: If you also have the service of remote

02:32: and you want to add that as a location, that's completely acceptable and very doable

02:36: here.

02:45: And that will allow you to see things such as how much revenue you bring in by

02:49: location, including that remote location.

02:58: Make sure I'm clicking the right save button here. The save for the overall screen

03:02: was noted above.

03:03: However, the save for this piece is over here on the right-hand side.

03:09: I can save and all of that will be updated.

03:12: Now again, your office locations are important

03:17: because you can assign each matter to a specific office location, especially upon

03:21: intake of that matter.

03:25: Then ultimately report by location on reports such as your P&Ls, income statements,

03:30: et cetera.

03:32: And that is how you set up your firm location.
